Aside from her success as an entrepreneur, she has been awarded as one of the best dressed women of the Philippines by the Philippine Cancer Society. She also made it to Mindanao GoldStar Daily People of the Year. Awarded as One of the The Best Dressed Women of the Philippines. One of the Top Inspiring Women of the Country and the Past President of Rotary Club of CDO East Urban. She is currently the President Elect of Soroptimist Greenhills. She was the Former Chairman for Mutya ng Pilipinas for many years. In addition, she is also the Chairperson of Miss CDO.

1. During the peak of the pandemic, what kept you busy?

-This Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact almost every aspect of the global population and women are among those worst affected by the economic fallout of this current crisis. So this crisis tested my strength to endure
challeges but we need to get up and rise above all these difficulties and challenges. I got busy taking good care of my family and taking it slow with my business since most of my stores were closed because the malls have been closed as well.

Also, I got so much involved with many projects in my community, my company and Rotary Club of CD East Urban not to mention the people who personally asked for help because their lost their jobs and closed their businesses.
But the best thing that happened during this crisis is that my family became closer to one another and be able to know one another a lot better.

2. Tips on how you keep your skin healthy and youthful?   

-To honest, I dont have much skin or beauty rejuments but except for Shiseido eye cream to lessen my wrinkles, I eat everything that I like but more importantly a positive disposition in life will make you glow.

3. What have you learned from 2021? 

-I have so many learings during this Pandemic, one of these is to take good care of ourselves and keep a clean and healthy environment. Second of all, is in business, resiliency is the most important of all that we must rise above all difficulties and challenges. Remember, no one will do things for us except ourselves. Third is to shut down negativity, we need to think positive and everything else will follow. Lastly, is to keep your faith in God because prayers are the most powerful weapon we could ever have.

4. Name some of your favorite local and international Fashion Designers   

-My favorite among all the Fashion Designers not only because of their fabulous and stunning creations, the attitude counts a lot to me be cause your clothes are you. My faves are Renee Salud, Albert Andrada, Cary Santiago, Joel Escober and Rafael Gonzales.

5. What is your most comfortable pair of shoes? 

-Prada shoes have been my favorite pair for it comfy, durability and classic designs.

6. What clothing you will never be seen wearing in public? 

-Lounge wear

7. Who is your fashion inspiration?  

-My ultimate fashion inspiration is my client

8. We’ve heard about the collaboration between MAGS and the one and only, Renee Salud, can you tell us more about it?  

-We are launching it soon, MAGS PREMIUM COLLECTION designed by Renee Salud. We thought of this collection to give people this rare oppurtunity to wear a designer outfit by the Philippine Fashion Icon and making it affordable but the fabric and the quality were not compromomised.

9. What should the consumers expect from MAGS this coming 2022?  

-They will be expecting a new MAGS, new beginnings and reinventions.

10. Who do you find the most beautiful local and international Personalities? And, why? 

-Beautiful women for me is Gloria Romero, Liza Soberano, Maja Salvador and Lucy Torres Gomez but the most beautiful woman for me is my Mom, Florencia Lopez Calpito. Beauty for me is not only the physical attributes but the goodness of ones soul and heart makes one the most beautiful for me because that radiates from within.

11. Advice to everyone who wants to start a clothing business  

-Starting a business, not only clothing is very tough nowadays but the key to be successful is to know your passion. You have to know what you are selling and you have to study everything before getting into a business. And always start small. Remember there is no overnight success.

-I am a strong, ambitious, motivated, kindhearted and a passionate woman. I am MAGS CUE and I am an empowered woman.

Mags has  a clearly defined bone structure, which makes contouring unnecessary. However, it helps to apply Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer in the shade of medium just to give a naturally looking dimension. For the cheeks, use NARS Overlust Cheek Palette, and brush from the apple of the cheek up to the temple. Make sure to apply consistently to the other side. Lastly, to highlight the high points of her face, apply NARS Bord De Plage highlighting and bronzer palette using a small fan brush and gently tap on to the areas needed.
