What is Cine36: Pagsibol?

Cine 36: Pagsibol is a 4-day fundraising event that is focused on reigniting the appreciation for Filipino-made films while giving others a sneak peek regarding the entrepreneurial aspect of the film industry. In its 36th year, Business Management Society (BMS) of De La Salle University now aims to bring everyone one step closer to the cinema, a place we all miss, in a safe environment through a 1-day workshop and a 3-day film showing. The proceeds from this event will be given to the organization’s beneficiary, Jaime Hilario Integrated School La Salle in Bagac, Bataan.

About the Workshop 

This event shall feature an informative webinar that aims to impart knowledge on the local film industry. Ultimately benefiting participants by broadening their understanding and scope of this area in business.  It will feature a talk from Cathy Garcia-Molina, a TV & film director and actor whose films include “Seven Sundays” and “Hello, Love, Goodbye”.  The workshop will be held on May 25, 2022 (Wednesday) at 4 PM.  Those interested can pre-register at https://tinyurl.com/Cine36PagsibolWorkshopPreReg.  

About the Film Showing

This 3-day film showing aims to show appreciation for Philippine-made films wherein participants may indulge in one another’s virtual company by watching these.  The film showing will happen on May 26-28, 2022.  Tickets can be purchased through http://tinyurl.com/Cine36PagsibolTicketPurchase.

The BMS Project Heads Atheena Lastimosa, Ralph Saavedra, Sophie Rendon, and Frances Yu aim to reignite the audience’s appreciation for Filipino-made films while simultaneously giving others a sneak peek at the entrepreneurial aspect of the film industry. Hitting two birds with one stone, this 4-day event aspires to bring everyone one step closer to the cinema, a place we all miss while ensuring that the proceeds will be given to the organization’s beneficiary, Jaime Hilario Integrated School La Salle in Bagac, Bataan.
